Villain was spewfish according to stats but only had a few hands. It would also be really interesting to hear your thoughts on the hand if villain was a solid reg.

What's optimal flop sizing? The only bad thing I can think of with my sizing is that he just peels with like 75** and hands where its correct vs my hand. Because of that I would like to bet a little more but I also wanted to leave 200+ in my stack so he would think he had more FE.

The reason I ask is cuz I hardly ever see anyone else do this.

We should only 4b pre if we can get 33% of our stack in preflop, which is just not the case here so don't 4b pre. If your plan was to bet/call flop then I like betting 40 to induce spews and AI's from straight draws etc. With SPR so low bet/calling can't be too bad although I would like to hear others thoughts on checking back

I like the whole hand. I think pre is fine against this villain who obviously isn't going to play perfect post.

I make gay c-bets like this quite often. They work nicely as yours did. I'm confident you won this hand... Wp.

I looked at the HH before reading the text that went with it and came to the same conclusion about the wrap/straight draw hands that he has when you bet so small. I think villain will float his straight draws and random overpair hands (that incorrectly called the 4b) with the intention to bluff the straight cards. Villain will however probably shove his 4xxx hands on the flop not wanting a straight card to peel off and have you c/f. The fact that the villain is a 75/50 fish works against you as it expands his random 4xxx range quite a bit.

Vs a reg I would probably bet somewhere between 62 and 67, theoretically betting 40 does the same thing for a cheaper price and represents the same range, but the % of the time you get dicked with goes way up even though it shouldn't.

Fwiw when I have OESD+ on the flop I just float here the vast majority of the time, only because unfortunately fold equity is almost non existent. I think I also get a lot of c/f on the turn since 4b ranges OOP 200bb+ deep are so much more often exclusively QJT9ds rather than AA** hands.
