Flopped top set on a drawy board. Do we bet pot even if this leaves us with small sized bet on turn? Best line on turn? Do we still want to get all our money in or can we check/fold turn? BTN was playing 39/31 with an AF of 3.1

Obviously you pot the flop, unfortunate turn, move on. ~

So it is better to check/fold turn? The only reason I see to pot the turn is trying to rep the flush when he doesn't have it, does it seem like a bad idea?

Given the pot odds on the turn and the fact that he might not have been on diamonds, make the hand hard to fold on turn imo

I mean if you check and he puts you in your getting 3.5:1, so you need 22% equity, you have to go broke here

You set has 23% equity verses most hands and you may be ahead

If he doesn't have a flush the balance of probabilities is that you're going to be ahead anyway, repping a flush may be an iffy idea if you're trying to fold out non-flush hands.

What do you guys think about trying to c/r the flop, and if he checks back evaluate the situation on the turn? Too passive?
