PLO live profit? PLO live profit?

I'm fairly new to PLO. I'm playing 1-2 PLO with a 5 dollar bring in, in Las Vegas. (My experience involves 20k of 25 plo hands online 5 years ago and an occasional small PLO game that might start during WSOP, read a couple PLO books, etc.)

Anyway, I'm having some trouble in finding what skills are necessary to making a consistent profit.

For instance, when playing 1-2 NLH or 2-5 NLH (live for a living) I made my money primarily from playing:
1. Better starting hands
2. Value betting better than my opponents
3. Creating larger pots with premium hands.

In live PLO, what are predominantly the ways to consistently make money off your opponents?

Give the guy credit for what he's representing when faced with aggression on the river

I m new to PLO as well
In Las Vegas for a vacation.
1-2 PLO with only red chip or higher play. (5$ bring in or complete)

I feel this game is juicer than some (* nitty ass) 1-2 or 1-3 game.
Although I have to say PLO has high variance. ( much high)

At the casinos I play at here in Australia the smaller games like 1/2, 2/4 and around there are the loosest games I've ever seen. 6-9 handed, every pot is multi-way, players will literally put in half of their stack preflop with any 4 garbage cards to see a flop. Pretty profitable to play if you play tight preflop (I.e. big pairs, big suits, good connected rundowns etc.) anything that flops dominating value hands and draws often as you're often going to straight over straight, flush over flush, set over set etc. against your opponents.

The bigger private games I play 5/10+ players are more solid, more aggressive and generally play better post-flop, although that goes without saying that I still regularly play with some deep-pocketed rec players who play bad at the higher stakes as well.

patience. live plo is excruciatingly slow and not a lot of players have the discipline to just sit there and keep throwing away hands. making intelligent quitting decisions. staying focused. well timed aggression. game / seat selection. the skill cap is pretty high in live plo.
