villian is 49/29 with an agg of 4 over only 35 hands. I 3bet him several times so he might have 4bet me out of frustration, not sure. No other reads cuz I was 8 tabling. Who likes a call on river?

I think calling the flop is fine, but man you gotta bet that turn. You have the best hand almost always.

If I was playing less tables I would certainly be bluffraising this flop as well as raising with my sets. hate how I played this. sounds like you guys call river then?

Yeah, I definitely don't mind this versus described Villain.

if you are planning on calling a turn bet anyways if lead into, just ship flop.

Why is calling the flop better than raising? With such a board raising will put a ton of pressure on Villain and even if he has 9Txx or at worst 789T you still have about 34-40% equity on the flop.

Is the reasoning that we are concerned he will only shove the nuts on the flop and fold everything else? If so I would think we are still +EV based on the number of hands he will have to fold in this spot.

Calling flop is fine against oppo described, especially if frustrated as he might be more likely to just barrell off if he picks up any kind of equity. But on the other hand, imo when frustrated they will just get it in on the flop real light and you don't have to worry about turn cards that might kill your action.

LOL at people who think OP is calling flop as he is worried about being beat.

Don't see how this is a fold on the river as played. Villain will have the straight like never so you're folding because he has top set and only top set.

The A is a great card for him to bluff after 3betting preflop. Besides, can't he VB worse hands like this since you have under represented your hand?
