Tough preflp spot today, SB is an agressive reg, who I have history with playaing HU as well. At 6-max he's 36/25/2.8 over 200 hands. The other two players are semi regs as well and both have VPIP's>50. I open very wide, SB knows this, and I assume he's 3-betting relatively wide. I def. am not comfortable playing deep all in pre with KK, but it felt right this time.

This is not a tricky spot.

Smooth call the 3-bet in position.

Why are you trying to get your stack in with AKKQ? I agree with the above posters, call for $10 more. There's very few true tricky spots pre flop in omaha.

Well, as i said in OP, SB knows im opening wide, and i know he's 3-betting wide. I wanted to play the pot HU(lol) if possible and not go to the flop basically top set mining 4-way. Is there any time where you guys would advocate 4-betting a lose 3-better with less then AA? If so what type of situations with what types of hands?

P.S. I'm def not sold on my play here, just arguing for arguments sake.

with SB bumpin it to $14.50 i dont think he is 3betting light knowing he is OOP to everyone who could call. He is polarizin his hand to AAxx imo, unless he really does this often which then he must be a complete maniac in later positions...

i agree with others, flat call pre. SB prob ship it on flop and then u prob know he has AAxx.

Personally I dont see how I would be comfortable playing against a 5-bet, and that makes the 4-bet questionable.

What range do you expect him on his 3-bet
Also what range he folds, flats ad 5-bets?

Obviously you are happy to get it in vs him and your dynamics. If that is so, I dont see anything wrong here. I'm just hoping you'll share your thoughts on his range.

I probably consider mucking KK here in hold em. Just flat the raise to 15.

I think youre making the mistake that allows it to be profitable to3bet light. Youre putting in almost 100 bb, and you dont even know if he has aces or not. Basically the only hand youre seroiusly ahead to is some kind of qqxx the rest of the time youre flipping og seriuosly behind. If youre going to jam here, i think it has to be something like a 9tjq ds and aces, which is actually ahead of unsuited aces.

I think its much better to take flop in position. You actually have a had that will often be good enough to ship on the flop.

Your hands equity is just terrible:

aa** 69.52%
ahkhk* 31.48%

Youre giving him the oppotunity to lose 15 or to get 200 bb in with 70 percent eq. Thats not a profitable play in the long run. I know the dead moneys blurs this eq calculation, but I still think its better to call and play postflop poker with deep stacks.
