I prefer to cbet flop and just take it from there. Bet sizes should be bigger everywhere too imo. Obv on the flop you have a great hand and redraws all over even if he has a wrap but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get money in. If he has a wrap and the board pairs or your flush comes in, he will most likely shut down. Best to look for your value now.

I particularly don't like raising him to only 21 after he bets 9. He can realistically have 3 things:

1. a wrap, with or without a fd
2. a smaller set (maybe top 2 if hes spewy)
3. a complete bluff

In case 1, you want to price him out from calling profitably and a bigger bet will do that.

In case 2 you want to get him comitted in case a straight or a flush card scares him off putting in any more action.

In case 3 hes just going to give up anyway like 99% of the time.

So I think a raise to $30 or so is clearly better.

As played on the turn I like to pot it if I am betting. After your bet, you have around 40 behind and the pot will be around $135 if he pushes. You can't fold with that many nut outs and 3.4 to 1. Any meaningful bet commits you on the turn so you should definitely push there.

as played river is a fold

Its the second worst though. Only a 5 is worse right?

Aye it's an awful sick turn really.

However, we're still 40% against the str8 - and he might not have it - so no going back now. Full pot bet it.

Nope it won't.

Edit - well sorry forgot we have flush draw as well. I guess it might.

cbet/3b flop. As played, barring some read, quite it's too hard to call river.

Yeah we are like 78% against 89TJ no heart and around 70 if he has 2 hearts. More important than the actual hot and cold equities is that raising to 21 in this spot makes it a profitable play to call with 12 more with a wrap whereas a pot or near pot flop reraise is one you would be happy for him to call
