i agree with broseph that it seems most likely there were playing before and probably made a plan to play when the dutch mafia killer came back. I am pretty sure I can never remember a time that a total random came to any of my tables and asked a rec to play HU out of nowhere and even when a reg has done it ive never seen the rec actually say yes right away

Asking here too (asked in "where is __" thread in NVG), but did eireabu just stop playing on stars? I remember railing mid-high stakes and he was always playing and crushing. Sorry if for some reason it's a sensitive subject lol

I don't think asking this is bad at all, I'm also curious about this and have my own guesses, but I'm sure there are dutch players that know more about the subject then me.

theres a phil galfond runitonce vid i think he said that he filmed pretty recently where hes playing 50/100 v eireabu, so its relatively safe to assume that he neither did anything bad, nor did anything bad happen to him.

I don't follow that logic at all (and your clearly one of the more logical persons on this forum)... Just because he played some sessions randomly the last year cant make us assume anything, and the video you are refering to Galfond says he played lot different then before (after disappearing for a while).

what i mean is - i think PG said that he had been away for a while, and then returned to play this session, which (and im again going from memory) was filmed within the last month or two. given that, its safe to assume the acct hasnt been perma-banned (and given stars is pretty good in terms of policing game integrity, that makes it very likely he didnt get caught doing anything bad, and therefore also reasonably likely that he didnt in fact do anything bad). the second part kinda follows from the remark i recall about the footage being filmed in the recent past.

fwiw i do agree that it was odd how he played all hours all stakes and then vanished into thin air, but my main response to that was more relief than curiosity, since he seemed to do pretty well against me . i assume i follow what youre saying re the possibilities that come to mind when ppl disappear then reappear playing differently, but over a limited sample and after a period of time away, thats not necessarily definitive. who knows, maybe he got married/divorced, or went to a tibetan monastery to study ancient rungood scrolls etc.

if he isnt playing poker id be really really suprised, theres always someone who knows someone etc, the fact that no one has said hes quit poker , or moved to macau or w/e makes me skeptical , no one just earns a couple million then basically vanishes.
