Animations or not, it looked more like playing as many hands as possible within a given timeframe than playing.. well, poker.

What about X amount of hands played (daily, weekly or monthly)= X amount of time able to sit in lobby alone with some starting amount? That's likely been said before.

As usual, Urubu is on the money.

Clearly losing HU tables is not the solution to the problem. That is like saying high rake at SSPLO should lead to the solution of removing SSPLO games. No, the solution is refining the model. In this case, making the lobbies semi KOTH. This will 1) Improve recreational players gaming experience 2) Increase rake for the site 3) Improve competition amongst regulars, doing so creating more action between regulars.
The only players that this will not benefit, are those that are mediocre playing at stakes beyond their ability, leaching from the system that is.
wrong

bolded 1, noone cares when hu regs bottom lines are at stake as they provide next to nothing to the games

Bolded 2, the thing you're forgetting is that at some point HU tables didn't exist, and the games were better, for the ring players and presumably for stars too (which is why the introduction of them confused me so much).

All these dopey solutions like "lock people in for 20 hands" and that kind of **** are nice in theory, but in reality stars will never ever do anything that's even remotely confusing for recreational players, so a sweeping easy solution is best, and as things are having no HU is much better than what we have here. Personally I think a KOTH system is the best solution.

There should be only ring games and u can "challenge" someone if u want to play hu. The problem is everyone will send challenges to the fish so probably you should only have x invitations per day.
That way there will be more chat(to try convince someone to play hu before sending challenge) in the tables and thats good for recreational players.
Of course then u can add tables...

Not sure why its so complicated once you sit out you cant join a HU table for a certain amount of time 1 hour 2 hours etc.

If you need to get away from the computer and you sit out this is different as you have no opposition so no time out, but if you do sit out against a player when he sits you, you get a time out.

While playing someone and you need to sit out because you want to go to get a snack drink or bathroom break etc or leave for 15 plus minutes you simply sit out or leave the table, and this wont result in a time out since you have played a certain number of hands whatever that amount be, which is reasonable, even something like 20 hands its a start.

So basically this will let players play and if they need a break after a certain amount of hands they can do so without a time out, which is fair enough but at the same time if they just insta sit out someone that sat in to play they get the time out and cant join any HU tables for 1-2 hours.

Thats the thing I miss from midstakes that 20 tables+ was running 24/7 guess my APM while 24 tabling was like 200? or that might be a bit high since I only use a mice, and occasional keyboard for bet sizes.

Nowadays at highstakes, only 4-10 tables usually run, which is boooring and slow not enough button clicking, stars should add like some sort of stuff where u can click at your cards or whatever to get the APM going(2-7 triple draw is really cool for this, u can upper/lower cards as much as u want) (like in starcraft, u can do uneccesary stuff all the time just to get "ready/warm" for when u need it). I usually end up having kyckling-spelet up on my 3rd monitor while action is slow just to get some action going ))))

Kycklinspelet: http://folk.ntnu.no/trymbrox/kyckling.html
Really good for practising APM / Multitasking and really addicting game aswell.

Post your highscores here ???

wtf... leshka is playing headshotfyov at 50/100 (and fullstacked) now and still makes every decision is INSTANT. No matter if it's a 3b pot, pre flop, post flop, etc. wtffffffff

Received it too and seems legit. I answered to the first email saying that the rake at Plo was too high and received a normal answer from the support.

This is a Bulgarian name. I find it really surprising that there's a Bulgarian head of a department in PokerStars and I don't know about it. I guess he's an expat.

Thank you for your suggest. I am going to forward it to our Ideas inbox, which is regularly reviewed by Poker Room Management. In other words, it will be read and considered. I invite you to read the Ring Games email when it is sent and use one of the links to our forums in case you are interested in engaging in a discussion about ring games.

Do you think think the rake discussion threads and player demands would be taken more seriously if they took place in the PS forum and not on 2+2? Not sure just curious. I've never posted anything there or responded to any emails.
