As usual, Urubu is on the money.

Clearly losing HU tables is not the solution to the problem. That is like saying high rake at SSPLO should lead to the solution of removing SSPLO games. No, the solution is refining the model. In this case, making the lobbies semi KOTH. This will 1) Improve recreational players gaming experience 2) Increase rake for the site 3) Improve competition amongst regulars, doing so creating more action between regulars.
The only players that this will not benefit, are those that are mediocre playing at stakes beyond their ability, leaching from the system that is.
wrong
bolded 1, noone cares when hu regs bottom lines are at stake as they provide next to nothing to the games
Bolded 2, the thing you're forgetting is that at some point HU tables didn't exist, and the games were better, for the ring players and presumably for stars too (which is why the introduction of them confused me so much).
All these dopey solutions like "lock people in for 20 hands" and that kind of **** are nice in theory, but in reality stars will never ever do anything that's even remotely confusing for recreational players, so a sweeping easy solution is best, and as things are having no HU is much better than what we have here. Personally I think a KOTH system is the best solution.
