He 3bets - but not so much that he could have low cards like the board put out.

It was heads up so I put him on a lighter range of 3 bets but still didn't think he would do it with low cards. Any ways the board went out all low and this was the hand.

haha - ya it did work but it still was pretty .... wild... I normally don't make a lot of these plays and I feel like I should because every one I've made - which is like 3 - has worked!!!!

Well, if he doesn't have the str8 himself he has to fold so should work a fair amount. His bet size doesn't indicate a str8 on turn. You could reason its very hard for you to have a str8 here tho.

Don't mind that river shove, you could easily have 578x here by your line and judging by villains turn sizing he is almost never nutted, unless that's his default bet size for all hands (which means I would highly recommend you play villain until he leaves!)

Well I mean if you're going to be calling flop w/this hand then it definitely has to be with a plan in mind to make a move on the pot. So WP IMO. Flop would be spew if you didn't shove river here.

Yea I'm folding flop typically. If we have a read that we can float and rep hearts, then so be it.

Everyone else seems to get what's happening here, but I'm pretty slow. Do you mean you expect him to fold his low cards to your 3bet? You were the one that 3bet, weren't you? Are you using 3bet to mean opening to 3bb?

Yeah I completely thought it was villain that 3be with what OP had said initially in his opening post. This changes things a bit as repping we have the straight here is going to be harder.

b/f otf, if villain peels, you can make a big and very profitable bet on a decent amount of turns, like the 9
