This deep I'd just pot the flop.

Think about it this way. If the board pairs, you're only getting money from quads or smaller full houses. Drawing hands now get away cheaply.

Sets are going to stack off on this flop often anyways, and you want to charge draws, so play your hand like the nuts on the flop and get as much money in.

Not a good friend ... and also a losing friend.

Like you say, you have to make villain pay for his draw.
99% of the time he is not gonna pay if he is drawing dead, which he is if you wait for top boat.

AA is not crap. The AA** family should win most money of all hands for you

On the flop you are the favorite, around 3/2. So its "theoretically" not wrong to get it all in as soon as possible. The only real problem I see is that when the turn came a 5, a huge warning signal should have went off, his likely hands are Axhearts, A/3/5, a Set (but less likely), two pair(less likely) but most importantly he pushed back on the flop signaling a strong draw. Remember Omaha isn't on current hand strength the way HE is, it's more dependent on future hand strength or draws.

Just my 2(+2) cents...

I think the reraise preflop was pretty bad, your hand is not THAT good. You don't even have a flush draw and one of your straight draws is to the idiot end.

I think you should have played more cautiously simply because you guys are so deep.
