so I used to play .5/.10 and .12/.25 PLO on Everest (it was a seperate poker room then). I didn't play for a few years now and I started as a nice procrastination utility

I now play .01/.02 zoom on PS and I have 22.76 ev bb/100 (after 18k hands).
I tried .02/.05 zoom (which is one level higher) and I got smashed, there were sweeping a floor with me..i have 0.29 ev bb/100 (after 10.5k hands).

I don't use hud (i have an old win that's not capable of running hud on zoom) and I just have HM2 as a trial.

Can anyone explain what's going on? I mean why I'm a winning player on PLO2 and B/E on PLO5. Is there such a difference in those stakes?

Can I send my HH to somebody so he checks what is wrong with my play?

According to variance calculator and the input numbers u gave, it is near impossible it was actually variance deceiving you at plo2. So what really happens is that you mentally act differently at plo5

EDIT: no, the stakes are not different in skill.

well, no one says there's a difference in skill, yet I somehow see it....

could just be an 18k hand heater at plo2 and 10k hand downer at plo5... sample's much too small

Variance/sample size

I'm in a similar position to you, except I can beat PLO2 but I'm getting outplayed and losing quite steadily at PLO5, so I guess there is a skill difference, people are giving me harder decisions to make.

Guess it could just be variance but it's probably harder for a good player to tell the difference as both stakes are probably quite basic for them.

There is definitely a difference, people donate way more at PLO2. Like, you will 3bet aces at PLO2 and someone will just punt kings overtop, stuff like that happens less often.

those regs at plo5 are tough.
playing day in day out for 5 bucks, gotta have a strong mental core not to do yourself in.
plo2 regs even tougher imo
