Hello All,

We just released the EPT Monte Carlo schedule and this year it will be more of a "Poker Festival" than just a Main Event with a series of small MTT and SNG.

This year we will have:

* A €25,000 High Roller Championship
* A €5,000 PLO Championship
* A €500 PLO with unlimited rebuys
* And €5K, €2K, €1K and €500 NL events

What would you like to play live that you don't see enough?

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

Neil Johnson
PokerStars EPT Event Host

So for ppl wanting more plo side events during epts... Might wanna post there.

So I don't really know anything about HEM, but what makes it so much better than PTO?

runs more smoothly i think when databases get bigger they take time loading up this will take less time.

you can run queries on your database with hem too - so you can see how much you win/lose when calling pf 3bs oop, how much you make with medium rundowns by position, stuff like that.

not running your pt2 database on access will do this too
there are lots of colors in HEM though, so that kind of pays for itself

If you can trust PTO, the rake at NL50 is 10PTBB/100, is this true?

plo25 is 11.2 now that they changed the rake

well go here for the software http://www.postgresql.org/

pto has a quick guide too in its folder -> help/v2h_postgresql.html

it gets a little tricky with a 64 bit OS but it's doable, mine is on vista64
it might still be unresponsive if your system's kind of slow but you should see a noticeable difference in the scalability

Is it standard to lose a ****load in non-SD pots in omaha?

My non-SD losses are huge.

Push fold equity way more than you are doing now. If you are likely coinflipping with your opponent's range, pot it. Take advantage of the times you have fold equity.

Figure out which opponents fold to turn bets. Bet the turn more against them.

If your opponent is likely to be on a draw, it's okay to bet a ton of your range on the turn, and shove any blank river.

Bet scary boards more often when checked to you in short-handed pots. 3 flush flops, 3 straight flops, paired boards, etc.

I bet a ton of those scary flops, but probably shut down too much on the turn.
I mean part of the huge loss in non-SD pots comes from the fact, that it's PLO50 and no one ever folds anyways and I make really a lot of money at SD.

But you are definitely right, I need to be more aggressive.
I guess it is hard to say which turns are good to 2 barrel (like A or K turns in holdem), but I usually think, whichever draw hit: "They had it, I am going to check".

What about aggression oop? I might play way too much oop.

Here is a screen of my positional stats:

The sample size is really small, but you might see some leaks.

I mean I know I really simplified things in my post, as it would take too long to try and go through different situations, but pretty much it's about hand reading and being aggressive in position (and being aggressive overall in heads up or short-handed pots) in the right spots.

Not being afraid to lose money/be wrong definitely helps.

I have found that at plo100 my losses W/O showdown were very big, while at plo200 it seems to be very close to 0 mostly with some sessions being positive. maybe move up to where they respect your raises
