MANIAC at table!! MANIAC at table!!

game is .25/.50

this guy was raising to $3 $3.5 or 4 every hand regardless of position. He would then continuation bet the flop and turn. he was up like 100 or so. How do you play against this type of guy. In holdem its easy because you can just wait for a decent pocket pair and slow play it,. But in omaha even with the best hand AKAK your hand can still be marginal after the flop..which means I am likely drawing to making my hand, facing a raise not knowing where I am in the hand!

how do you play against maniacs in Omaha?

If you're out of position, when open very tight and 4bet almost every hand you open if you're about 100bb deep and there are no more action.

If you're in position to him, then play rather loose and passive pre and try to see cheap flops. Give up when you miss and eighter slow play or fast play your good hands.

This is evening in northern Europe.
Playing a maniac deep in omaha will increase your variance, so I don't really recommend it.
Play ABC, 3bet good hand in position to iso him, limp-reraise premiums if he has pos, and when you play 3bet/4bet pots with him, be willing to get it in lighter than you would against your usual opponents.
Playing passive against this kinda guy is your worst option.

Post a specific HH where you had trouble making a decision.

oop 4bet pre bit wider. in position play lots of hands.

postflop raise/shove with draws more aggressive than normally. With good holdings just keep pressing call careless turn and river.

There you go.

nah the call button is your worst enemy against this guy, raise where you would usually call.

Are u on his right?, or is he on your left? If your on his left life is easy position is key, if your on his right ur boned leave the table. or stand up and sit on his left.

Phil Helmuth?

To answer your question, you start 3 betting him a lot and see how he reacts. If he check/folds a lot of flops, then just continue 3 bet basically anything. If he plays really aggro on flops, 3 bet only hands that flop well and get it in with any piece. If he 4 bets a lot, stick to 3betting high card hands, big pairs and good highish rundowns and be willing to 5 bet pretty light.

Make sure you have a proper bankroll and don't go on tilt.
