Post from my Vegas trip thread but wanted your take on the highlighted hand please?

Thanks

swingy night last night ended up £995 plus my girlfriend got the dealing gig which is good

lost one £1k pot getting most of my stack £300 in pre with double suited A + Q's only for it to go 4 way and a raggy 2 pair won it FML

Played one hand bad and got what i deserved really. pot is raised small pre and i flop the nut straight with two hearts on the board, (i have no hearts) I am in mid position and check it to a player who plays well but almost always stabs at a pot if its checked to him in position. sure enough he bets £60 (pot) approx one caller UTG and I pot it to approx £300 we all have min £700 behind. dont know what im thinking here obv i have the nuts but the correct play imo is to call hopefully brick the turn and bomb the pot then when my equity is much higher.

anyway the initial raiser who is sat there with the same nut straight and the nut flush draw flats me to hopefully keep the other player (wait til you here what he had :-) ) in. the caller calls so we go to the turn with a bloated £1200 pot.

turn delivers a heart UTG checks I sigh check and the guy with the nuts gets his £700 stack in UTG calls I fold pissed off at my waste of money

£2600 pot pairs the riveer, UTG flips a flopped 2 pair improved to a house in spite of him have a bunch of his own blockers. what a mess of a hand by me and the winner.

not all bad tho i won a lot of smallish hands and a big pot later when i improed my flopped wrap to a straight on the turn and nut fush on the river and geet a £300 value bet called on the river £1k approx pot

so BR = £2750 and the dream is still alive. having a few beers and maybe some low stakes holdem with some friends tonight

gl any one playing

re: the lucky fosh with the two pair that filled-up

Hey, we need to to let the fish get lucky once in a while, otherwise my worse nightmare will come true: playing on a table full of decent players, without a fish in sight.

sorry guys not enough info.

my question is do I check call the flop for pot control and wait for a blank turn, increased equity then raise or do I check raise the flop as played?

thanks

Quadtwos I agree with you

C/R is horrible that deep...either c/c, or donk out. If you think the reg is solid, you might want to fold to a full pot raise after donking.
