In a 36hr period Fri-Sat, I drove for 27 hrs (NY --> Southwest Florida). Not too many years ago, I used to get scared driving even 15 minutes to someplace I wasn't familiar with





Didn't get any tickets, didn't crash, so that's good. Saw a couple nasty wrecks tho. In Atlanta area a car had exploded and was on fire (didn't look like anyone was hurt). And somewhere in Florida I drove by another accident, and there was a dead body lying across one of the lanes of the highway

People in the South (Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia) seem much more polite and friendly than every other part of the US I've been. There are churches and religious billboards and American flags and rundown pickup trucks everywhere. Also, at least based on 10 minutes spent flipping around the radio in South VA, the only radio stations they offer are either Christian rock or Country

I did the drive from Detroit to Florida a few years ago. Spent at the night at my uncle's in Georgia, definitely a lot of devote religious people there. Some massive churches. I would say the only time I've ever been nervous to drive was going through Atlanta around 9pm. Highway seems like its 10 lanes wide, and everyone is weaving through traffic and changing lanes while driving 100mph, lol. Great road trip with a buddy though. Should have had the Peppers song, definitely had the Audioslave one.

Doing Detroit to Vancouver and then back through all the Western provinces of Canada this summer. Nothing like a little road trip. Just have to make sure I setup log me in or something to my computer in Canada so I can play a few hands while I'm in the states lol.

Just wanted to come here to give a tip that really helped my game lately. I had a bad habit of quickly checking forums and other sites while I was grinding. I'm also terrible at breaking habits. So I installed leechblock(add-on for firefox, not sure of the chrome equivalent) to block sites that I like to visit during my grinding time. Highly recommend for anyone to do the same if they're at all like me.

I think it's +EV to avoid opening Skype and browsers altogether (except automatic redirections from the poker client, e.g. during a Skrill deposit).
