He bet very quickly on the turn. My thinking was that he wouldn't bet full pot and so quickly if he already had JJ's or AA's full; no way.

He'd think about how to milk me, etc...Going full pot so quickly on purpose would be some higher level thinking, extremely trikcy and require a certain dynamic.

Since this is Rush and PLO25, I thought he basically never had me beat on the turn. However, I though Trip A's were a big part of his range since his full pot bet looked like a protection bet, so I basically wanted to get it in against 9 outs drawing to beat me on the turn (80% favorite), rather than wait for him to either bluff or hit the river, at which point I would've had to guess and probably fold.

What do you guys think?

Why would you fold?

Do you think he's folding an A on the turn at these stakes with that much money in the pot?
Maybe he is, I don't know. Pretty unlikely, though. On the other hand, I don't think he ever has me beat, so by jamming I can get it in as a huge favorite on the turn.

Since Axxx is a big part of his range, I have to assume that if he jams the river I'm very rarely good.

I'd rather shove the turn knowing he never has me beat but can call with an Axxx as a huge dog, than make a complete guess on the river against an unknown.

Could be wrong, though. If you just call the turn, are you just calling any river jam?

You want him to keep the lead with his hands that are drawing dead or that have ~3 outs.

There are more draws than Axxx.

There are, but is he betting them like that? That's the question.

Of course there are more draws in terms of combinatorics, but I think that when he bets full pot quickly on the turn, his range is weighed more towards trips trying to protect against draws than actual draws.

At leats that was my assumption at the time. If I'm wrong about that, I understand your point.

whats our river plan then`?i doubt he bets a ton of a*** hands otr and most people dont 3barrel the river on a paired board as a bluff.
and i doubt a guy that bets a*** ott id folding to a c/r

It seems like u want to c/ship turn so u dont have to play a river.

A better reason to c/ship turn would be that half the deck kills ur action.

Im a rush25 reg and I agree that hes most likely protecting trip Aces. Most villains arent betting this turn on a draw IP, and Id argue the majority of them arent valuetowning boats here even on a board this wet. And when they are theyre often betting smaller.

Go ahead and shove imo.

btw, not crazy about pf.

what don't you like about preflop?
