Villain 3betting a lot of hands and I had to fold to the first couple because I had really crappy hands so I think that has encouraged him. No reads yet other than he 3bets a lot and is aggressive but has had it everytime I have looked him up so far.

Full Tilt Pot-Limit Omaha, $1.00 BB (2 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero (SB) ($100)
BB ($161.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, A, 6, 9
Hero bets $3, BB raises to $9, Hero calls $6

Flop: ($18) 6, 2, J (2 players)
BB bets $9, Hero calls $9

Turn: ($36) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $18, Hero calls $18

River: ($72) 4 (2 players)
BB bets $36, Hero calls $36

Total pot: $144 | Rake: $0.50

Should I fold the river? Fold the flop? Fine as played? Villain thought a bit between each bet.

If he pots the flop would you ever consider folding? I'm wondering whether I'm setting myself up for reverse implied odds - when I hit and he doesn't have the flush I'm not getting a lot more money out of him on average whereas if I hit the flush and he does too then I lose a lot of money.

What do you think about that?

i'd need some pretty big reads on him being a nit to fold a pair, flush draw, and two overs. i would find myself shoving flop most of the time, but since he only 1/2 pot i prefer flatting.

it's not like he's always going to barrel. we can bluff / semi-bluff sometimes too y'know

I guess Im still raising /calling it off on the flop. I just dont want him to hit a Thigh flush where he doesnt have a pair on the flop and will probably fold it or prob fold turn if you pot and he bricks.

I used to think shove the flop was the standard play if he cbetted but now I am not so sure. Villain may fold about half the time and the other half of the time will call with either two pair+, higher flush draw +likely pair, or at worst if villain is donkish maybe top pair with two pair outs. Against two pair or stronger we are a bit behind or crushed, we are quite a bit behind a higher flush draw and pair so I guess it depends how often the villain will call with a weakish hand?
