Just wondering about bet sizes, do you guys tend to pot out a lot or less than? Specifically cbets on certain textures..

I don't pot a lot. It's bad karma. When you pot it you always lose imo. lol.

Just bet a bit under the pot

If the pot is $5 bet $4.50 it works the same at $5 they are calling regardless in the micro stakes.

It can go either way though you either lose 50 cents in profit or lose 50 cents in losses. I don't see this whole pot smashing thing being really relevant. You are essentially giving them bad odds anyways.

I'm a fish and go Ziig style, I always pot. I find regs struggling with betsizing almost hilarious because they just tell you their holdings.

Potting full is more useful live than online, for the intimidation factor.

Whatever fits your style. I tend to bet big often unless I have an either/or situation (monotone flop or AAT or something where). As long as it's balanced it's fine. If you bet big with air and medium hands and draws, do the same thing with monsters in the same situations.

I very my betsize by flop texture and number of opponents, and maybe trying to manipulate opponents into doing the same thing all the time. I only really mash pot when it's obvious we're getting all in. potting all the time is an option, but I don't like it.

I pot a lot against station's on non-scary boards and will go closer to 2/3 or 3/4 on more drawy boards so we can see a safe card.

Against solid players are just very the bet-sizing because they are going to be more observant of my sizing.

When I'm playing my aggro game I pot every bet.

When I'm playing my thinking trapping game I vary bet sizing a lot. Sometimes I bet small to induce others to come over the top, sometimes pot sizing control.

But this is completely the opposite of what you should be doing. On drawy boards if you have the goods you want to charge draws the maximum, wheras on dry boards you should usually bet less to encourage calls when you've a big hand.

Yeah but i also bet my draws big on wet boards, and bet small with my complete air on dry boards, since you get a lot of folds that way too. If you vary your bet sizing by board texture instead of hand strength you become impossible to read and are generally making better bets.

ts u think potting is a leak? pretty much every plo video out there advocates potting..

in theory if you are betting for these reasons, to protect, to receive value, to bluff... wouldn't potting give the worst odds for losing hands to call, receive MAX value when called, and put opponents in more difficult spots when bluffing?

i think more importantly than varying bet sizing... is ability to balance ranges and find other ways to pot control ( its ok to check.. yes even in 3bet pots)
