I agree with this. In a vacuum your play is horrible. But, against a good aggro who has been pushing you around, this play is very effective, imo, especially with an A on the board because so many times aggros are being tricky with non Axxx hands and don't want to hope for two pair against your top pair with probably a good kicker.

And I agree that you have to make up your mind early to do this. Any hesitation will look like you making a move.

EDIT: Also, if he's 3betting in position and is aggro (meaning 3bets lighter than most) the A without 6-J on the board kills what he's probably 3betting with J8910,QJ98. Those types of hands bricked this board bad. But you started the raising and he has to believe that you might have ATTJss or something along those lines because you flat his 3bet, lead the flop, and 4bet him.
