I see alot of brainwashed ill informed people here. ANd i wasnt advising him to take it randomly alone. Take it under supervision of a shrink in a calm enviroment, and dont take a large dose. Odds of something bad happening are almost zero when you do it like that.

never understood how lsd can be lifechanging. From what it sounds like, shrooms is the way to go. I've read about reports saying that lsd can cure alcoholism i.e. the aaa found etc. but I've never read anything in-depth that supports why it works that way.

Studies from shrooms find that people to tend to be happier about their life for at least up to a year, and for some the positive change lasts longer. I think it also helps cancer patients accept their situation.

but never understood how lsd could fix nor how it could be so dangerous if you're not tripping your balls out.

LSD is very personality dependent I feel, but for many it is extremely life altering.

yeah I'm curious about that. I thought shrooms is just like WHOA TRIPPY whereas LSD is more "oooh colors, teehee" unless u take a **** ton - which is what u guys are saying not to do

Re: LSD curing alcoholism, I think it's highly likely that for people to try that- they are already extremely set on their ways already to quit, but they are such rough addicts that they think they need something to do it.. not just themselves so they use LSD as the drug to allow them to get to the place they want to be

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibogaine is better than LSD - a hallucinogen that's known to help people get off even opoid addictions.

I didn't know LSD was used in controlled situations for these sorts of things but I believe it's fairly outdated. I've heard a lot about MDMA used in controlled situations to deal with post-traumatic stress, amongst other things.

+1 to mushrooms being really good. LSD can be addictive. There is a well-known HSMTTer currently tripping his balls off on LSD for something like the last 6 months who is approaching 'f***-up' status as he owes at least 6 figures, including to me.

If you haven't already tried it, Ketamine is basically the best drug out there. It's got a mystifyingly bad reputation - in the UK it's a class C drug, on a par with weed; it's cheaper, more self-contained than MDMA (high wears off after ~ 1.5 hrs), very little in the way of a comedown; it fuses the spangliness of MDMA, the buzz of coke, the high of weed, and a little of the trippiness of shrooms. It also goes very, very well with other drugs - it's known to amplify their good effects and sorta tie everything together. As far as I can tell, its only downsides are that it's somewhat addictive (but nowhere near coke) and that it doesn't really make for a good club drug unless you're experienced.

had a few friends which tried DMT , and they say it is still messing with their heads 4-5 years later.

while the aspect of taking high doses of what's released in your brain when you sleep can be mind opening and "next level", in a sense of closer to the next life, it can have severe side effects, which last a long long time, and in some cases turns people into vegetables.

the risks with DMT are 10000x that of taking LSD/shrooms , its the one I would love to take, but too scared to go near it

Just because Joe Rogan made it sound awesome on his podcast, doesnt necessarily mean its safe. Either way if u do it let me know how the experience was!

Ketamine can do permanent damage to your kidneys/ bladder (i.e. needing to pee way too frequently and even incontinence). It can also make you pretty psychotic if you manage to get addicted to it and its known to be mentally addictive if you are susceptible to that sort of thing.

source? Not that im gonna take ketamine tho lol. But as for xtc some government funded research claimed that xtc was pretty dangerous and could result in serious damage after taking it once. Turned out the whole investigation was pure BS, and a more independent research recently found that you basicly have to really abuse it to get any damage at all.

Alot of these studies are really biased and sometimes they dont even make an effort and its just propaganda to make the drug look bad. And then in the future when they really do have to warn people for some serious dangers nobody takes em seriously :/

Ketamine was the worst trip of my life, I was probably stupid and took too much of it but it's not like too much weed can lead you to writhing on a bathroom floor for an hour having extremely paranoid thoughts

I know personally of two people who have had problems with decreased bladder volume/ repeated kidney infections after abuse. Saw a woman on a morning TV show who was addicted and doing ketamine daily who had made herself incontinent but couldn't stop doing it. Saw a guy account his story of doing a few grams of ketamine every day eventually just to take away the pain in his bladder he had from abusing ketamine in a vicious cycle. He ended up with a colostomy bag.

Also there was a guy called John Lilly - a neuro-psychologist who took a ton of ketamine and lay himself in flotation tanks to cure his migraines (lol). He began to believe he was being watched over by extra-terrestrials after he nearly drowned because he had been injecting himself with ketamine in the bath. His wife had to resuscitate him. He claimed they had visited him when he was younger. He had some pretty interesting theories. You can read about him on google.

so what you are saying is if you become addicted and heavily abuse a drug there will be side effects
