thx man, I definitely need it.

The thing is I'm graduating soon and i must start preparing for technical interviews (first one is with google phd track, gotta review/study TONS of material for it) but I just want to win back a few thousand before i take a break from poker, just want to feel a bit better before I stop... I'm feeling very depressed and can't prepare while on such a brutal downswing. But even after I busted my account, I'm still getting brutalized and busted a few deposits too, which makes me even more depressed.

Sorry for ranting, can't do it in real life, no one would understand.

Hope you turn it around, CompEng. But you should really try and let poker affect real life less than it sounds like it does.

Think about it this way; you've won a lot of money and will continue to do so (practice some game selection and maybe move down for a bit), you are soon to have a degree and if you're applying for a phd, chances are that you're pretty effing smart...what more can you want, really?

Never heard about Google PhD before, can you elaborate a bit on what it is and how it'll work if you get it?

you're right that I shouldn't let poker affect real life, and I usually forget about it while I'm out with friends etc, but when I'm in front of my laptop I just can't do it. I look at my EV and then my actual $ and I say to myself, ok I should catch a break at some point, come on let's do this. Just to get ****ed in the *** again. Now I passed my weekly deposit limit on stars, so I'm gona have to take a break whether I like it or not. Thinking rationally, I'm actually glad there's that limit, I need a break from this.

I'm getting my phd in computer engineering next spring (I'm 28). Google have some jobs specifically for phd's, which are more research-based and intellectually stimulating. But the interviews for these positions are usually very tough. Very smart people get rejected regularly.

its very hard don't let poker affect our real lifes. i suffer w/ this a lot... i assume i can't control this and many things in my life happens due my lucky on poker (if i win big i will be happy person, if i lose i will be nervous etc). i hate being like this, i lose many chances, many days due bad days on poker

i guess this happens w/ me because i play underolled everyday, so it affetcs me a lot if lose 10buy ins in one day. i am thinking to solve this problem w/ meditation or/and yoga, something like that.

btw today i am happy.

talking about compeng, flips etc, i thought ''why not?''

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $50(BB) Replayer
Hero ($5,000)
($9,998)

Dealt to Hero 4 5

raises to $9,998 (AI), Hero calls $4,950 (AI)

FLOP ($10,000) 8 A J

TURN ($10,000) 8 A J 2

RIVER ($10,000) 8 A J 2 3

shows Q 8
(Pre 62%, Flop 95.5%, Turn 93.2%)

Hero shows 4 5
(Pre 38%, Flop 4.5%, Turn 6.8%)

Hero wins $9,998

would like some gif to my reaction on pre, which was ''fuuuu today is gonna be one of those days...'' (2nd flip in a row couldn't get a card higher than 5 lol). then on flop i was like gg take my money bro. on turn zzzzz, on river booom.

Man I just found it in google images. Way easy to find solid gifs there.

If anyone here knows how to make gifs, get in touch with me. I have an absolute cracker that could be used on 90% of PLO hands and would never get old...

    Thankyou sir. Appreciate it.

I will endeavour to keep the quality high. I probably won't go as x-rated as that next time, it was fairly well recieved, but I can see why the greens wouldn't be happy.
