Hey,
I was playing a small .25/.50 game with a few friends in a home game. The cards and values aren't exact because I played this game around 2 weeks ago. I also don't remember the suits so I posted the worst case scenario (for me) which eliminates any draws I could have had. I'm posting this now because I got into an argument with someone telling me that I played it completely wrong and that I should have folded when I was re-raised on the flop.
Villain is a very solid player, won over 200k online playing omaha, and rapes me every time I play him. He's definitely on the looser side for most of the game, but I only play very strong hands against him and he knows it.
My stack is around $80 and villain has me covered.
Preflop:
Button: Villain straddles to $1.50
SB: Hero calls with 7
7
X X (probably some suited or connectors, not another pair, but for the sake of this thread let's assume 8
T
)
BB: checks
..Folds to button..
Button: Raise to $4
SB: Hero calls
BB: Fold
Flop:
4
7
J
I really don't remember the exact betting but after raises and re-raises I ended up getting my whole stack all in on the flop thinking this is the best option against any possible draws and against 44, or even against AA or KK (the chances of him having JJ are slim).
I'm not posting this hand to be nitpicked at, I just want to know if my general play was proper or not.
Do I act differently anywhere? Why?
Thanks
