Hi all,

Let’s say you raise pre with a big pair like AA568 and go three or four ways (very typical in my games). It’s single raised and there is significant money behind. Flop comes 2Q7r or 229 and you don’t improve but still have your overpair and perhaps a back door or two - dry flops where we can have the best hand but if we do can easily be outdrawn and would rather end it here. Do you cbet multi-way? What sizing? What if you’re IP versus OOP?

I assume we can cbet these hands more liberally heads up?

Conventional wisdom was that overpairs are worthless multiway but I wonder whether we are losing ev by auto checking every time.

Thanks,
DT

I wouldn't c-bet OOP, maybe if I was one before the BTN (or whoever is last to act) for protection mostly. IP I would of course c-bet, I don't c-bet much in general (it's one of my leaks) but IP I almost always stab. If someone leads before that I almost always fold, not sure if that's correct. If I have back doors and some villains are aggro, I'm less inclined to c-bet because I don't want to lose the chance to improve my equity.
