Bovada PLO50 - Two Bluffs Bovada PLO50 - Two Bluffs

I don't mean for this to be a BBV, just wondering one of two things:

1) Microstakes Bovada is extremely fishy... That means people will make lots of bad calls. Maybe I should not run big bluffs until I know someone is capable of folding? Or is this just negative variance and I'm running into particularly bad opponents? Many of my three barrels do work fine, but I don't have enough sample size at the moment to know if I'm doing it right. (Today it worked more often than it didn't, but the money lost in the 2 failed bluffs was more than I won in the successful ones)

2) Should I have sized my river bluffs smaller? Maybe people are more likely to hero call big bets? If I'm balanced with value hands it would be fine, but I don't think balance is much of a factor at microstakes anonymous tables

I have less than 5 hands on both Villains.

Thank you

Balance in these spots 0 factor

Sizing in hand one on turn/river could be different

Hand 2 I'm not sure what is happening You have showdown... lose to some middling 2 pair type hands that he MIGHT fold/be confused why you are betting so big on this runout and I wouldn't expect him to fold Axxx 2 pair hands

The best way to get a big sample size to know if you are doing something right or wrong is to keep getting in that spot and see what works/what doesn't. Variance will play a big factor in a bunch of different spots in PLO but the fun part is figuring that all out. Hand 1 is a hand I wouldn't really factor in overall that often as if opponent c/cs with set/flush in this spot when you have A blocker you aren't really figuring much out other than thinking about bet sizing in that spot without reads. There is some merit in potentially not bluffing the blocker without any reads but I am big fan of always bluffing any blocker!

Because you leave such great liiiiiiivestream comments I give my first strat post of all time

I thought I was hallucinating when I saw you responded, and then fully expected a troll. I feel honored for the legitimate strat response! Thank you.

Hand 2 my thinking was that he has a lot of draws in his range because he didnt raise flop or turn. I decided to turn my hand into a bluff on river to try and get him off exactly the type of hand he had: something that was going for spades but backed into two pair. I guess this was too ambitious.

With the A blocker, I wanted to size for maximum pressure without looking bluffy. Maybe I should be betting more like 2/3-3/4 pot on the river in these spots instead 5/6 pot?

I know you are a fan of bluffing blockers, especially reverse quad blockers. Look forward to tomorrow's show, although unfortunately I am busier now and may actually have to spend some time working instead of trolling the chat

Not sure why you felt the need to spend 3 sentences talking about how "honored" you were. That kind of gratitude should really only go to really important people.... People like StickyRice.
