MP: $5 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q K Q J
Hero raises to $0.17, MP calls $0.17, 4 folds

Flop: ($0.41) 4 7 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks

Turn: ($0.41) K (2 players)

Is this std against a supposed aggresive player? He wants to represents KK** or a combo draw, but I am blocking it...

Interesting spot. Not sure what you mean by "representing combo draw".

Given that villain pots on top of a near pot by hero and sizes the river as value, I think you lose here quite often when calling. In villain's view, hero's hand really doesn't look that much like a draw given flop action, so if villain is competent they don't bluff river that often.

I actually think the most logical hand to see is K9 if villain is competent enough to valuebet it on the river.

What is he getting value from? Not to mention he's opening himself up to being bluffed.

If your image is aggressive you'll get calls from AK or hero's hand type stuff all day. Barring K7 or a random AA without spades, hero's range is pretty much capped below K9 anyways so why not vbet thinly? I'd pretty much snapcall a c-r with K9 most of the time as it's representing only and exactly K7 and even value raising that doesn't happen that often.

Do you call the turn check/raise?

If you mean as hero, do I call the villain raise (not a c-r), yes I do, with a plan of donking all T's, J's, Q's and spades, and probably check-calling if a K hits.

I'd probably just auto call the river but i tend to bluff catch a bit light. Such a strange villain line, he's repping KK but why check back the flop? he show up with 77/99/97 or some ****?
