I love playing on the weekends. Villain was 96/74/5.5 over 46 hands and pretty much running over the table. I had taken a bite out his stack a couple of orbits earlier but he was still up a little over a buy-in.

Poker Stars $0.50/$1.00 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 4 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

SB: $225.40
Hero (BB): $222.25
CO: $52.20
BTN: $35.95

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with J 2 9 A
2 folds, SB raises to $3, Hero calls $2

Flop: ($6.00) 2 5 8 (2 players)
SB bets $5.70, Hero calls $5.70

Turn: ($17.40) J (2 players)
SB bets $16.55, Hero??

Do you like a raise here or a call to play pot control against a deep stack? I don't think a fold is appropriate.

if this was no limit holdem - ur hand would be a monster and u should play it accordingly

Hoping to get some better responses than what to do in NLH. I thought it was an interesting hand but maybe not.

this

your hand good and you def. may push it if you had 2p+flush draw at the flop but at the turn you probably would be only get called by at good 2pair and pot is just not big enough to commit

If this were Omaha 8/b I would fold since the board already qualified for low and you'd be drawing to half the pot.

I would fold before the first draw if this were badugi.

Pretty sure that floating the flop with bottom pair and a BDFD isn't exactly the best way to win money from a 96/74/5.5.

As played, repot the turn. I doubt this guy's folding any two pair or any flush draw and he's leading a ton of hands.

I would fold flop and call turn as played, more shallow I probably repot turn.

Potting the turn is a little thin but it would be my play. I just don't see villain having a strong enough hand to RR even if we're behind.

And I'd fold flop.

Thanks for the responses. I thought that if I hit 2 pair it would likely be good but I understand fold on flop and find a better spot is best. On turn, at least I don't feel too bad about my raise but I think a more conservative approach is better. As played I raised turn and he reraised with set of 2s obv. I called and got lucky on river with .
