BB range in 6-max vs 3 handed BB range in 6-max vs 3 handed

I think might be a fairly easy question to some but I don't know the answer.

If I'm understanding correctly, a BB defend range in 6-max will consist of Kx,Qx and Jx, with a lot of low cards and suited medium strength rundowns. If we're in a game that's 3 handed, should we expect the same BB range or is the BB range stronger, because there are fewer players?

My understanding of BB defend to a single open is calling a lot of junky double suited hands. Something like a J965ds. 3 handed nothing can change except widening the range, right? But the hands that are continues 6max will also be continues 3 handed.

It doesn't matter how many players there are, it matters what position they are opening from. A three handed game is just like a six handed game where the first three players folded.

So BU is opening 45%. BB is calling maybe 40%, but the ranges are composed differently because BB's calling range doesn't have the hands that BB three bets. SB is opening about 30% and BB is defending vs SB significantly wider than that.

The earlier the open the more conservatively BB continues.

3handed BTN should open slightly wider than 6max BTN due to card removal

This is from a screenshot on my desktop and I always keep it open when I play. It's from a chart posted by LadyBruin a while back in a thread relating to an open raising range at 100BB & 3Bet, 4Bet ranges, whereas (4betting + calling a 3Bet + folding to a 3bet = open raising range). I use it as a reference of how positions should be opening:

EP = 18.50%
MP = 22.50%
CO = 30.50%
BU = 47.50%
SB = 34.00%

So, if the BTN is opening slightly wider than 6max due to card removal, what are we saying that the BTN should be opening? 60% 65%? More?

I recall someone having rand the numbers regarding card removal and it really matters a lot less than you'd think (especially in PLO where people should fold a lot of Axxx pre from early positions). Prooobably just play 3max as if it's 6max and folded to btn really.
