Playing live PLO at local card room. Massive fish on table with 400BB stacks. Lot of money on the table mostly playing more than 200BB. Pretty passive game with lots of limping. Im UTG with 100BB with 10♦️8♣️7♦️6♦️ i pot to 4BB. Four callers then big blind chooses to 3! to 24BB with a 200BB stack. He just sat down but ive played with this guy before and he is a loose fish. I call and rest of table calls. So multi way to pot with 120BB in the pot. Flop A♦️5♦️9♠️. Small blind check big blind checks. Is this auto shove spot?

i would play with hand ranges but looks fine. Even against AA you have pretty good equity and block a ton of diamond draws.

I would start with a check and see how many want to pot it as I don't think you fair too well if someone has a set and someone has nut flush draw.

Yeah, think you have to get it in here probably (just because of the SPR) but will be up against top set and a bigger flush draw a lot of the time, which is pretty disastrous for your hand.

I definitely don't like opening this hand UTG in a game like this. If it's going multiway to the flop a lot, you really want to have a hand that will dominate other draws or flopped straights/flushes.

I would only be looking to open hands as bad as T986ds or T987ss here. You could even make a case for only opening bigger rundowns down to QJT9.

I would also definitely prefer to have a hand like AT98 with a nut suit as well.

I want to add this to the discussion; i know i am never folding to any bets, so is it +ev to pot it myself so that in case everyone folds i can pick the 125BB pot without showdown? I can confidently say AAxx is not out there considering the preflop action? Big blind would have bet on this flop with top set?

And you're right - denying equity from any hands that have missed is great for you if you somehow get it through, so you might as well bet if you're not folding.

The end result; i check without thinking too much. MP leads out for half pot 55BBish. Folds around and i shove for 75BB he is committed and calls with A5xx Ends out bricking out. I feel if i shove here first he cannot call with just two pair without redraw. Cost me my stack and chance to steal 125BB
