Sigh... I was typing "<--- tilly" into the chat before flatting (which is probably stupid to begin with but I was 9-tabling and had a brain spaz. Maybe a flat is reasonable on like KTT99 but w/e) and I forgot that I had no more timebank on that table, also because I was 9-tabling. LAME but if dlizzle had quads it is hilarious now.

lesson = don't 9-table.
How is this not a snap call? Is he super nitty or something?

Ive been looking into playing some omaha for fun in spare time. What is the best way to learn basic knowledge like hand selection etc. I am currently a holdem professional so I know some of the basics. Is there any good books or is cardrunner (training sites) best?

can you elaborate pls ?

esp. rebuy tourneys good players have a big edge imo, and unlike holdem tournaments plo tournaments are mostly not a total crapshoot as your M is much higher...

all in all: soft fields, high M, lots of skill involved.

i like PLO tournaments.

PLO cash is a game of small edges, which doesn't translate well to a format where one lost 60-40 sends you home

Yeah, I don't see how tourney PLO could be less of a crap shoot than tourney NL.

In the 10k PLO championship at the WSOP they gave you 10k in chips and a rebuy chip worth another 10k. You could turn it into chips anytime between hands, but not during a hand. Most people just waited until they busted the first 10k before using it, though if there was a big fish at the table who turned his in right away I probably would have too. I think it was a pretty great concept for a big-buyin PLO tourney.

DeucesCracked has 3 series of videos on PLO, ranging from beginner to advanced. There are some standalone videos too, but the series are the bulk of the content and designed to teach the concepts you're looking for at whatever level of play you're at. I'd highly recommend it! (Biased of course, but hey, we have a 7day free trial, so its not like you're committed to anything!)

ZOMG, Ribbo sighting!

What happened to you man? Haven't seen you in the PLO forum forever. You been playing PLO8? Something else? Getting back into PLO now? Kinda curious what you've been up to as you went from being a huge volume poster here to nothing pretty quick.

Speaking of PLO tourneys, is there any site registered in EEA which has a lot of PLOnkament action going on? Sick of variance ATM, so I'd rather donate money to great players in smaller amounts.

And Ribbo: enjoyed your vids and your accent as well. Post more, good sir.
