Hi all,

There are a couple $100 limps to hero in MP with AAQ97ds a-high hearts q-high diamonds and we POT $550 $3.5k eff. Both limpers call.

Flop ($1650): K-6-3r with one heart. It checks through. We have very little interaction with the flop even though it is pretty dry and don' t know what runouts are good for us besides an A or backdoor hearts. We are behind 54+pair, flipping versus Kx, losing to two pair and sets now. Anyone bet 1/3?

Turn: Ts bringing bdfd we lack. Checks to second to act pro who bets $1,100.

Thanks,
DT

To give an overly simplified strategy: Hero csn mix between something like pot/call, bet 1/2 psb and evaluate if xred, and check back.

Don't like 1/3 sizing.

As played I fold turn.

Hmm how do you decide which sizing to use and at what frequencies?

Exploitative reasons mostly.

This is a tricky spot but with SPR around 2 think we should play our range agressively. Checkback seems less attractive since our hand has poor playability on most run-outs.

I expect equity to be relatively evenly distributed among the 3 players with Hero's exact hand, which is a good reason for Hero to bet.

There are all sorts of different adjustments possible here based on other players.

I’m betting flop, $1150/$1250 like I would with KK, if I get called I’m probably spaz jamming most broadway turn cards.

Our hand is kind of face up the way we are currently playing it, does bettor stab a bunch when he picks up equity? If he does could consider jamming over the top.

I feel like KT with some redraws probably just rips the turn. Good KK could play this way on a flop this dry to trap though.

Do we have the A of spades?

No, we don't have the As. Interesting everyone is playing naked AA so aggressively here.

Yeah agree it feels like a pretty aggro line with 1 pair, but otherwise we are just getting taken off the best hand so often by any stab.

I think if we are not playing this way post, on this kind of board. The maybe we should just limp pre and save the pot raise for when we are in CO/button.

Again just my 2c.

Just out of curiosity I plugged in our hand against some reasonable ranges (20/25/35%) and we have 30% to their 34/35% so the flop actually favors their limping ranges. Are you still betting flop?

I check surrender this flop. I doubt we have enough equity vs gii ranges. Sure sometimes they both fold but that seems unlikely given our blockers.

This hand doesn’t have good playability. I would be tempted to limp raise.

I also check flop when three ways. Too many K6+ and 54+ hands to continue.

As played, im calling turn with the assumption that the first limper folds majority of the time. You have 6 outs to the nuts plus can counterfeit his 2p plus can actually be ahead of many draws.

Will likely require some good bluff catching skills on the river but lets ply some poker

This is one of those deceptive boards. Put yourself in the shoes of having KQJT. You see this flop, at least one bdfd, some straight draws out there, only really worried about getting it in vs a set, to which you have a blocker, you think 'may as well go with it if he's every c-betting light'; but not all players think like this and sometimes fold here; not to mention a lot of Kx comes with another high pair like KQJJx or something; and, lastly, there's actually not that many Kxxxx combos given we've also got two of the aces in our hand. At first I thought this was 4 ways to the flop and a c-bet is marginal but good, 3 ways I think we've got to bet. I probably make it $1100.

Turn is close. Can see myself calling. Think we should probably mix calling and folding.

The turn is a x/f - calling is bad. I'd probably stab the flop and try to take this down - it's heavily disconnected, if KQJxx wants to call and we get HU that's not a bad result.
