After the hand I thought my flop raise was too large.

Is this ever a situation I can flatcall the cbet to raise the turn?

I raise in this spot as a spade can shut down action, and I build the pot with a massive hand and position, but maybe some spots I should be flatting... If some spots I should be flatting, this would be based on board texture, PFR%, and Cbet flop / turn % - i.e. how open their ranges are and how often they barrell two streets... So tighter PFR more inclined to raise or call flop? And higher flop / turn cbet% more inclined to raise or call?

In this instances Villains PFR was 15%, cbet flop 60% (high), cbet turn 37% (tight); so opens reasonably tight, cbets wide, and shuts down if called on the flop... So against him the flop raise is probably good.

Thoughts against other villain types?

I like a raise here, but not this big. I'd raise it to ~$10

the question isnt really about the raise size... i open the post with "After the hand I thought my flop raise was too large" ... the question is more about the paragraphs that follow...

if it is super standard here to pretty much always raise flop i guess the idea of calling in position against certain villains is irrelevent, but if villain is opening 15-20% of hands, Cbet flop 70%, cbet turn 60%, i.e. doesnt slow down, is calling flop rather than raising a better play?

yes, in this case it may well be. you still have two behind you. if turn doesn't work out you can still check/fold, or c/r if you feel aggro but not good idea if 2 behind

I'd raise on the flop and hope to be taken on by a lower set, wrap, two pair or whatever. Tons of flop value for you and many cards that can make your foe scared and put you in a spot where you have the best hand but the perception of value you can get changes a lot. Sometimes there's nothing out there but just keep fast playing big hands like this.

raise. it's not like you want the BB to come along chasing a Q high flush here...
