I only have a 20 hand sample but so far villain has been running at 32/22/33 with aggression frequencies of inf/inf/0. I haven't seen him do anything out of line yet but fwiw check raised one before this on a flop (not against me).

I realise that it's a loose opening raise but at this table my opens had been getting a lot of respect despite me playing at about 40/25 on this table (someone at the table recognised my avatar from here when I sat down so they all knew that I'm from 2+2 and seemed to treat me like a good player. Minted gives each player star ratings as well, so that might also explain why I was winning the blinds more often. The table was also full of regs (apart from villain) and none of these regs like to call OOP pre very often). Therefore I'm more interested in post flop.

Is this ever not a straight and can I call flop using implied odds knowing he will bet turn regardless?

Results will come later.

    Very marginal open.
    c/c flop is much better.

I used to do this with sets on straight boards but it seemed too weak and I kept getting outdrawn when I had the best hand. With only 1 straight out there 3 way I've found it's often better to bet, had it been a board like JT9 then I would've c/ced.

Jam the flop, he could easily have hands like TQKx, 9TJQ, TTQ*, 99TK (or even bare 99), it's not a lockdown board.

edit: didnt realize stacksizes at first, it's closer with these but with a lot of dead money in the pot I'd still jam the flop.

It would appear that I need to get used to going for even thinner value against fish, set over set is a magical thing.

I agree with Bet/thinkingabout it on J97. only 1 straight and they arnt always going to have it. JT9 i would tend to C/C. And AKJ i would probably consider bet/folding
