Hand 1: I hate 3-betting OOP with essentially naked Aces unless you are 3-betting a TON of other hands against an opponent who folds too much. Fold flop, RIO. Going off for 140 BB here sucks.

Hand 2: I don't get why you 3-bet in Hand 1, but not here when your situation is SOOOO much more favorable. Call flop, no reason to fold just yet with that kind of board and your hand is under-rep'd.

Thanks for the replies

I usually don't 3bet bad aces out of the SB but did it against this button. I folded flop on Hand 1.

Do you recommend limp/3betting Hand 2?

You don't necessarily have to 3-bet in hand 2, but I would be a lot more apt to 3-bet in hand 2, where you have position and dead money in the pot, than in hand 1, where you are out of position with a weaker hand and can't get a lot in preflop.

I dunno. I do 3B a lot of other hands oop etc. It's obv why you don't like 3B oop w naked As. It's NOT obv why you prefer limp-3Bing with them UTG which VERY much declares your hand. Unless you're limp-reraising with more than As, this is declaring your hand Way more than a simple 3B from the blinds.

Hand 1: Either get it in on the flop or not at all. You should only be threebetting this from the blinds from someone who is opening far too many hands being far too laggy postflop. Otherwise this is an awful preflop 3b

Hand 2: Call and see what happens. JTx smashes typical BB raising ranges. Once he checks a turn it's probably a give up and your hand is good or w/e. Position is the nuts, way more important than hand values.

BTW, Tilter, who is the chick in your pic? I've been reading too many of your posts and chick is hot. Looks like a hot Lindsay Lohan so maybe circa 2004?
