$50 omaha mtt, 10 left, 9 pay. i had been getting shiiiiiiiiiit cards for as long as i could remember, was down to like 500 chips with 9th place having 4k chips or something. then i scooped 2 double ups in a row (1 questionable, but i was so low...) to get myself healthy again, then this hand happened. i had scrimped and finagled like a pro to reach hands with teeth to get me back, but i feel like this might have been voiding all of that or not a stretch?

This is standard. If you are raising preflop with this hand, shove this flop.

should i be this early of position and on the bubble? with these stack sizes. the game texture has slowed dramatically when we reached 10 players... easy farm to 9th........

You can fold utg, but with 11 bb raising from any position as first in is correct, especially if you are the tourney's short stack. Players on bubble tend to be passive, so opponents raising behind is not a big threat (You push 100% if someone else raises) but i dont want to see this flop 5 handed.

Your chances of getting Aces any given hand is 1/40. Taking 1.5k as minimum pushing stack. You only have a 49% chance of getting aces in your next 4 rotations through the blinds so this hand is a pretty good opportunity to take a stand.

I would probably have gone for limping up front and reraising when someone raises.

With regards to farming for 9th, it typically makes no sense at pokerstars to play for barely moneying due to payout structure as long as Hero is decently rolled for his frequency of playing the event.

if people suck as badly as in any plo mtt i have played so far I think folding into the money might be a good idea as it probably takes about one orbit.
