Usual Live 5/5 9 handed PLO. Super deep. Many donks. Few Solid players.

UTG: HERO (3k stack) 5d6h7h8c

About 8 people limped in. Big Blind who was really drunk raises 50 (400 stack) Everybody calls. Pot is about 400.

Flop comes

5h6cKh

Obviously a perfect flop for my hand. Got a bottom two pair, 8-card nut straight draw, and flush draw.

Big blind goes all in for 400.

Question: Do I re-pot here with 6 people to act behind me? Two of them are super deep and has me covered and rest of them (4 players) are under 1k. What do I do if I re-pot here and get shoved by super deep stacks that has me covered? (remember I have 3k)

Only hand that has me in really bad shape is Set with Flush draw and I really can't allow other flush draws, or big two pairs to get to the turn.

In reality, I ended up raising it to 1k instead of pot and everybody folded. I took down the pot with Flush.

Reraise because many nut flush draws, better 2 pair, etc, will have to fold.

Why give results? ... I would have re-raised on the flop as you did.

Seems pretty standard re-pot/get it in... that's a golden spot vs a donkey so if you're worried about putting in $3k there then don't sit with $3k. Doesn't get any more standard than that. It's not like you're folding if you min raise to $800 and someone jams back on top of you. By re-potting you also force folds from hands beat you; if I was one of the people acting AFTER you I would probably easily fold 44/K4/K5 in that spot if I didn't have a flush draw or straight draw to go with it. If you flatted there and I had bottom set behind I would consider jamming on top of you.

Agreed. You're going to be a favorite HU against this dude in an all in spot. So might as well take it.

yeah i mean as long as you understand that raising to 1k and potting are the same exact thing, you're never raise/folding in this spot

Are you ever raise folding here? Are you folding to a raise from the deep stacks if you call the $400?

Raise folding in a 9 way pot sounds like a great way to set money on fire.

^ I'm not advocating r/f. The question was intended to draw attention to his decision to raise to $1k over potting. Spazz raising over the top at these stakes in live PLO because of sizing is close to non-existent, hence there being little merit in not potting if you've decided to raise flop.
