You wrote that he called - he just flatted? Or did he shove? If he just flatted he'd have like $5500 behind which makes a huge difference in the story. He knows you're calling his shove at that point.

If he shoved he likely has middle set...

If he flatted he likely had wrap + spades

Either way he played bad because there's a straight on board.

Calling pre is actually worse the deeper you are. It's less bad shallow.

Turn was bet by me, pot by him, insta repot by me, tank repot by him as calling and repotting weren't materially different...and no one wanted to wait for counts so we both agreed we were "all in".

He had a wrap with a draw on one suit. After seeing the river he said, "I didn't think you could call my reraise" and after seeing my hand he said "I had a lot fewer outs than I expected". I think he had a pair and a wrap on flop then turned a worse club flush draw than mine.

The person beside him saw his cards and seemed to agree with his statements. But who knows, he knew he lost when the river card came out and mucked his hand.

to the guys saying that op's thought process is fishy and complaining about not being able to move up the stakes or whatever...

think about the reverse side. op might not take the best lines and have balanced ranges blah blah blah, BUT, he is amazing at game selection. he took what was a meh hand, misplayed it multiple times, and STILL GOT SOMEONE TO PUT 18K IN WITH A MEDIOCRE DRAW AND ONE CARD TO COME!

op could make posts berating you guys for being fishes because you sit at 12 tables where most of your opponents are playing 22/18 and the "fish" at the table has a vpip of 37 and can't find the fold button with middle set.

lots of different skill sets are important to have in this game.

^^ This, lol, not even close.

But it doesn't hurt to play well in good games, either. :P

If the goal is to turn this into a joke of a forum similar to HSNL then you are on the right track. I like the fact that there is still some decent content posted in HSPLO. It can be fun to have a knee jerk reaction and troll someone who makes a mistake you would always avoid but it's really not that unbelievable that there are some really stupid people in the world, let alone some people that don't have the understanding necessary to beat high stakes cash games...
