I figure that the board was ragged enough that no one would have hit it very hard, so I decided to jam for protection against ending up in a tough spot OOP, since I'd have maybe 40% if called. Is this right or should I have taken my showdown value?

This thread should be about preflop, not flop. Flop is the simplest jam ever.

pre flop seems like spew for full ring

I mean... my reasoning was that 1-gap rundowns are going to flop strong equity like 1/3 of the time, KJT9ss is premium, and it has a gap at the top, so it plays better with low SPR. And people in this game show up with total garbage, fairly frequently. Dunno if you've ever played SWC, but it's the biggest fish tank I've ever seen (also has super low rake).

This HH is frying my brain, def call as were in SB, we wanna play post flop poker, see flops cheap and punish weaker draws (overall game plan)

Gap at the top is bad. This hand is not a premium, and def not anything near premium from the SB at these stakes. People at these stakes don't fold pre very easily once they have ANY money in the pot, so post flop you will almost always be playing a 3-bet multiway pot as the aggressor OOP. If it's such a fish tank, then punish the fish in position bro.
