Read less, I don't see the value in a river bet.

I think your turn lead is always strong so you either already had it on the turn or you got there on the river.

The only thing going for you is that a thinking player might wonder to himself: "why is he betting the river so big; I don't think he would do this with a straight when the river brings in a flush; villain is probably polarized to flushes and missed straight draws or hands he thinks have no showdown value (worse 2 pairs) so I should call with a wider range."

But, versus an unknown I just don't see this happening often enough to make the river bet profitable.

btw, should villian has 240 left on the riv.

so c/f or c/c

vs unknown c/f is okay?

all i wanted was a stubborn KK or AA to pay me but doesnt seem all that likely. esp vs unknown

How could you ever have such a weak shoving range from his perspective that you get called by a range that you have >50% against? Not much missed there. Looks like massively -EV.

is flop the only option or would c/r be ok?
as played iŽd try to c/r turn.
river looks like the good old "no idea what to do" shove. c/f is fine i think.

Agreed. Remember that open-folding is 0EV and checking is always +EV even if you're check/folding to any bet (checking risks 0$, but wins the pot when villain checks behind with worse (which happens a LOT in this example hand)). If a bet is +EV, it may not be the correct play anyway, even if it's the last action of the hand.

i prefer to check the river at this point and see what villian does.
i dont think an unknown 34/18 will call us often enough whit AA/KK here
to make this shove profitable.
+ he could turn a 10JQ into a bluff but it would be tough spot if he bets the river.

turns std, river makes me puke, depends waht level hes on.

i dont think hes calling turn w/o outs against a straight and thats one of

given pre id check decide, i can def see the merits to a call, i think its std for him to think a set is behind your range
