3bet a maniac action junkie? 3bet a maniac action junkie?

2/2 live, 9 player

utg+1 (villain) = $500
utg+2 (hero) = $400 8 t j A

maniac is directly to my right.
raises preflop if limped to him. 3bets frequently.
buys and re-buys for $500. always tops off his stack to near $500 every hand.
no idea why he's at the 2/2 instead of 5/5.

there are 2 $500 stack calling stations at the table that will cold call a 3bet and not just his but anyones.

preflop:
utg straddles, villain raises to $15, Hero?

I wanted to make it $50. but I'm going to be OOP vs the 2 calling stations.
plus 8TJAss is not that great of a 3bet hand in EP. (I would do it in a heartbeat if it was double suited, or 9TJAss.)

also, i HATE to check/fold the flop after i 3bet. (LEAK?)

What would you do?

You shouldn't fold and you shouldn't 3bet

edit: *I wouldn't fold and I wouldn't 3bet, more like it (ldo). I can see merit in 3betting, I guess.. Just seems strange to 3b a UTG raise in a FR game with a hand that plays sooo well multiway and not *amazingly* HU

+1 to advice above.

Your hand flops the nuts to often to fold pre. it is also going to miss to many flops to bloat the pot pre. I call and hope one or more of the calling stations behind you call as well. Then if you do hit the flop, you have more villians improving likely hood of getting paid off.
