2PLO: Flop Boat, getting value. 2PLO: Flop Boat, getting value.

Villian is 53/38 over 300 hands. I have been having trouble getting value lately and want to know how this hand was played. I've been 3 betting more often pre, so my 3 bet here shouldn't scream aces, even though everybody reads it as such. Flop comes and I'm hoping to check raise and get a bit of value, because his fold flop to cbet is roughly at 65% or so, and if he "knows" I have aces, I assume he's folding to a cbet.

I'm sure I've misplayed this hand in some manner or another, so any help is great.

    1) c-bet this flop, like half potbet
    2) bet turn, again a sizing where your comfortable with
    3) bet/fold river, not bet/call imo.

    1) Why are we betting flop here? This villain folds a ton of hands on the flop and if I'm to get any sort of value out of him I want him to be able to catch up a little... right?

    3) Why am I folding river? Are we to assume quads every time he shoves?

I agree with bet flop, you can even bet something silly like 1/4 pot. It helps you bluff cheaper

Once you get to river he's either got a 2 or nothing, it really depends on how aggro he is

Ask yourself this: What cards improve villains hand on turn? The answer being: almost nothing. The best you can hope for is villain picking up a draw but even then he won't continue with it that often. Or he hits a 2 outter for a low FH.

The best way you can get value from this hand is to cbet and hope for him to have a '2' or decide to bluff raise you.

    Turn - bet.

On the river, as played I'm leaning towards either a c/c or b/c. Villain seems like a lagtard and will prob continue with a lot of his bluffs.

If his post flop agression factor is high you can also check to induce, but anything other than that you have to cbet. You have to be able to apply pressure on him with your whole raising range, not just your nutsy hands when you hit. Otherwise you'll be exploited pretty hard ~

Yeah you fold river because nothing else that beats you will raise for this amount, they just call. It's deep and you have to be able to make such laydowns even if they seem sick, it's plo and people get quads way more often.

Fancy play syndrome on the flop. Bet 1/3-1/2 pot with your entire range on the board to balance the times you have a complete airball like 679T. If he realizes you have air in your range too he'll start bluffraising these flops. Getting all gay and passive might squeeze out a few cents this hand but in the longrun its not optimal (although most people will realize in about 2 seconds that you're slowplaying aces here and would've bet all your air - even fish).
