What % of turns do you think he is going to lead? If you think he is going to lead most of them, and you aren't sure what to do, then I don't see what is to be gained by smooth calling the flop.

For that matter, I'm not sure why you'd call in the first place- is it because you can't get a high enough % of your stack in? Calling just seems to leave you in a tough spot, it almost turns your hand into a float.

I don't mind b/c flop as we only have runner runner redraws, and we do have position. It's with the intention of stacking off on pretty much any non-diamond turn, though.

auto shovel.

i can't see how calling to fold that turn would be anything but bad.

any non diamond turn seems like a shipper. as wazz mentioned the b/c seems good as well

calling and waiting for non-diamond turn to ship seems like a decent plan. Lets us get some more money from some marginal hands and get it in better vs his draws mostly and saves us money sometimes when he has a set and an action killer comes.

his being pretty unsure on a very innocuous turn leads me to believe he will make more in the hand long-term if he just re-raises the flopopotamus

I would play it the same way and ship the turn.

I thought my hand is pretty weak to make a re-raise on the flop, because a had a only naked top-two. I'm an underdog against even FD+low-pair and a huge underdog against a combo-draw.
