for gump`s move to make sense, isil`s 4bet range must be >30%....
most ridic is how ppl here stand up to defend that bs

Those who say Davin´s play is only marginally bad are right. Still, I think the initial call is the only play that is a clear mistake (clear as in: not ev+ ever), while Gump´s 3b/5b might be okay under certain circumstances.

To state it again as it looks a lot of ppl missed it: Isildur has only 60bb to start with the hand.

you think isi isn't 4betting a huge % for 60bb effective with the dead money in there?

you think AK65s is a bad hand from what perspective to isolate with? It's such a good example of a hand that you should just try to realize your equity with preflop vs isi's shoving range which definitely appears to be more sortbyprettiness than sortbyequity.

I really like luckygump's play in this one hand and it opens up so many great profitable if high variance situations if it encourages the guy in the middle to coldcall {9887s} type hands

Davin's hand plays really well vs. Gump's lopsided 3-betting range and it doesn't have anything to do with meta anything.

Maybe he knows that, maybe he just wanted to win a pot from LuckyGump like we all aspire to do one day.

Gump's decision though when it comes back around should have very little to do with Isildur's range though.

The bigger variable is the guy behind you, if he's a logical player, his range and calling frequency is going to be high given his voluntary action was cold calling a 3-bet... I mean, when the 4-bet comes back around and Gump shoves he's getting better pot odds than he was before and a guarenteed board... what can you fold?

If I'm in Gump's seat, I'm assuming I have a call behind me from davin, and setting my shoves to that price.

Gump definitely played it the worst, davin's play is somewhat goofy but I guess somewhat justifiable, I mean he won the pot, can't win if you fold.
