why dont you like the iso raise? getting it HU with dead money with a hand prolly ahead of his range?

i dont like the repot on the flop against the ss - just call and play for value in position

flop is standard

cause its only $2 in dead money (assuming BB folds) and you are up vs a Good short stacker that probably have a good hand.

most likely you are a very small favourite but if he happens to have aces youre a very big dog.

also, sometimes BB wakes up with aces or coldcalls and it becomes trouble later in the hand.

edited my first post, but to be clear I dont like the FIRST raise but the OTHER raise after shortie shoves is fine for sure.

I like the re- pot, Shorties hand is Irrelevant, we're getting 3/1 on the dead money if BB folds and we know we have the best hand if he calls, so its -EV for him and +EV for us given the post flop stack sizes.
Calling has to be worse than raising here, Hero made a decision to isolate and play for stacks vs shortie and BB gets involved, repotting cannot be worse than calling.

I don't get the first re-raise to $23. But that's just me.

Are naked Kings not good enough to get it in for 20BB in PLO vs a standard short stacker?

depends but its somewhat like getting it in with 55 in holdem vs a 20bb stack, most of the time you are flipping or are a small favourite but often you are crushed by a higher pair...

the logic should be obvious but its that you are often running into AAxx in PLO and a pair of sixes or higher in the holdem example.
