I was just too lazy to input each bag so just found something that totalled the same number of calories. Same thing with the bbq sandwich, I had one footlong which was like 1k Cal but just was lazy

Been casually following this thread for awhile and have been debating joining in. Have decided it'd probably help to have an additional support network

A little bit about me. 22 years old, 186cm (6'1") and ever since senior year of high school I have yoyo'd in weight. When I was 17 I went from 210lbs to 174 and then I found beer and also went back packing which took me back to 231. After that I worked my way back to 192 in the middle of 2011. At that point I got a steady girlfriend and for a few reasons I started putting weight back on. Broke up and moved into a new part of town closer to my university. I then ate out for 80% of dinners and got really big. Finally I decided it was time to get back into shape as the fat has definitely been affecting my self confidence in social situations. I've done it before so there shouldn't be too many issues. However I also want to focus on creating goals and habits so that I don't get to that point where I feel content.

I started the April 25th and have focused on eating well and working out 3-4 times a week. I've also cut alcohol almost completely and only allow myself a few drinks on Saturday nights. I started at 254 and am currently at 237. First progress pics below.

Thanks. No tripod, just set up the camera on my set of drawers and used the 10s timer.

Thanks. My goal is to get down into the 170s. Once we're there, we'll see what we want to do after that. Hoping to get there before winter.

Yeah, I've been hitting the weights 2-3 times/week, been better lately about making that "3" instead of "2". I took last week off from the gym (only one long bicycle ride), went back yesterday, and I am SO SORE today!

You know you could have cropped out the lower 1/4th of that pic, right?

Actually, I'm glad you posted that. My shirtless "before" pics are actually naked "before" pics, with my huge drooping belly obscuring my junk from view. I'd been asked to post shirtless before pics, and I demurred out of embarrassment, and promised to post them alongside my shirtless "after" pics when the time comes.

But now that someone has gone there first, I've learned to warn people BEFORE they open the spoiler box that there's a naked man waiting inside for them. So thanks for that, I guess.

And of course, it's always good to see people take charge of this aspect of their lives, good for you.

Gotcha. My max weight before I started losing was about your after pic (235 lbs) and I've cut down to 188 in just about a year. You mentioned the yo yo effect you've gone through so gl getting to your goal.

June 1st and I'm 303! I'm pretty happy about this. I got up to 311 but in the past couple weeks I've really decided that all the work I did before I don't want to undo just for some extra food. It's much easier now having a pool especially since my Dr. recommended swimming over anything in the gym. So I'm going to work to get to 275 by 9/1.

My real downfall is sugar. I went 3.5 days without it and it's been really hard since. I went like 5 months last year without anything high in sugar but it took a lot to get to that point and I hope I can gain that will power again.

Started lifting weights again, been at it for the past 2 weeks. Naturally my weight is going up though I did go over my calorie limit on Saturday and Sunday. 217 this morning up from 213 a week ago. Hoping it's muscle!

Been eating a lot at the beach so far. Not logging, balls deep. Kept mostly in a reasonable range though by avoiding massive dinners outside of a couple. Lot of snacks and desserts though.

Also tho worked out in gym 4x last week and 2x so far this week, and outside of Sunday which was a lazy day have either played golf, tennis, racquetball, and/or beach football every day.

Def up some pounds but definitely adding muscle too as my workouts have been great since I'm not eating 1.5k calories a day.

mother**** trying to shed another ~ 5-6 lbs this month but will be spending a week on biz in Korea & Singapore ..... almost guaranteed destruction will ensue. I guess I'll just try to breakeven by hitting the hotel gym and walking a lot.

I haven't been in Asia for a couple of years so I'm not going to deprive myself of the food there in favour of cans of tuna from the carrefour.

im actually looking forward to getting back on my diet though simultaneously enjoying having chips and dips and cookies.


goal is to get to sub 200 for my vegas trip in August. would think that would be pretty easy but I have a bachelor party and weddings in june that are gonna hold me up a bit in all likiehood (and im expecting to be in upper 2teens to 220 after vacation).

Maybe if you guys were on a cycle of roids you might have put on 4 pounds of muscle in a week. Non-doped bodybuilders would be ecstatic to put on a 1/2 pound of lean muscle mass in a week. Ecstatic.
