Some Indian spices are pretty foul. Hing to starters.

I kinda lost my mind today and pigged out on sour patch cherries. Not an ungodly amount, probably an extra 600 calories or so. Still, ugh.

Hit the pavement for about 4 miles. At 229, you'll burn approximately 142 cals per mile run. Even two miles would bring that down to a small meal, calories wise.

LOL last Sunday I was hungover and ate half a large bag of jalapeno cheddar cheetos for ~800 cals

So last 2 weeks I've crushed pretty good with my motivation to weigh less than daryn again haha...

Was 229.5 last Friday and was 229 this Friday

Was bummed because I worked out 6 times (lol 2 a days!) and never ate more than 1780 calories over that 7 day period. Variance tho because definitely went another notch on my belt.

Yeah I've been going strict as well because I know you're prob on the warpath. Weighed myself a couple days ago, still 229. I did put on a T-shirt that I've never been able to wear before and it fits perfectly, so there's that.

weighed in at 199 in the morning, felt pretty damn amazing!

He says this is crucial for someone who wants to change their habits, and speaking as his most recent rewire job, I strongly agree.

When you train yourself to think about healthy food, you don't need willpower to resist the unhealthy stuff, because you're not thinking about it!

The book is available on amazon, that's where I got mine. Your local library may have it, too.
i downloaded this last time it got mentioned in this thread, finally getting through it

while the first section where he debunks diet/nutrition myths didn't really do anything for me since i've read my fair share of lyle mcdonald and other similar literature, but the part where he gets into emotional eating has been a revelation - i never realized how much i used food to make myself feel good/less awful.

getting into that mindset that "food is fuel" and critically thinking about what i am about to put in my mouth has made compliance 1000% easier this time around. just asking myself "how will eating this make me feel 15 minutes from now?" has been a brick wall when it comes to making solid choices. i fully expect to hit my goal of 179 (my career lowest number) by june 1st.

yeah i was thinking about how if i make solid choices on the rolls next time (it was my first time checking the place out, so i went with their "signature" rolls that wound up being loaded in spicy mayo and panko) that it would serve as a fantastic cheat meal psychologically while still being solid calorie-wise

Hey guys,

I'm 6'1 165, and at my heaviest was at about 190, which is when i started dieting. I'm in my mid 20's, in a bowling league, and have very social friends, so I essentially drink every night of the week and want to stay in reasonable shape. My diet is generally: a pot of coffee, a lean cuisine or healthy choice, for dinner: panda (steamed rice/mixed veggies/lower cal entrees), subway, or el pollo loco. Drinking is going to be a constant, and I have a bad metabolism, so curious how you guys would adjust how I eat. Thanks! Seen some super impressive stuff so far in this forum.

I wouldn't adjust anything. You're 6'1" 165.

At 6'1 165 you very likely look too skinny and need to add muscle.

Spent this weekend drinking a fair amount but didn't each much during the day to counter that. Had a massive jumbo slice of pizza each night tho.

I fully expect myself to get to 225 next Friday.

And I def noticed a couple of my going out dress shirts fit much better now though so hitting the gym has been effective. Wish my stomach would tighten up though still have a good amt of loose skin.

I haven't found it very challenging to maintain my weight so far. I still track my food and weight regularly and set mini-goals to stay proactive.

By the time I hit my goal, my tastes had changed dramatically. A lot of stuff with empty calories that I used to eat doesn't interest me anymore. I still indulge a couple nights a week, but pretty much only with high end food and drink. When I have a glutenous weekend, I tend to crave healthy/light food the following week. I also just enjoy life more as a non-fatty and don't need to turn to food as a comfort.

Eat a lot of gluten do ya?

Just had AYCE sushi. I could have gone stone wild but kept it under control. Had 2 rolls (the kind w lot of stuff going on), 6 pieces of nigiri, and a seaweed salad.
