I'm also not a big fan of prime rib bc of the fattiness and much prefer steaks that are meatier and more tender like a filet mignon, but whenever my dad ordered prime rib with horseradish I'd always have a bite bc it's a great flavor combo.

Imagine my delight when I found out about these:

They're awesome. I usually go through a bag every couple weeks.

Papa DD used to make a killer LEO (lox eggs and onions) when I was a kid so I've been trying my own takes on it recently.

I put a ton of stuff in mine.

4 oz lox, couple of eggs, white and red onions (and the key is to get em nice n sweaty) and then:
Purple potatoes, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, celery, and jalapenos.

Then mix in about 3 tbs of salmon flavored Philly cream cheese. It melts really nice and makes for a delicious creamy sauce.

Accompanied w a buttery toasted English muffin. Bangin breakfast.

that looks like a meal to start the day, skip lunch, and have a reasonable dinner.

For sure. I usually don't have my first meal of the day til noon anyway so it does serve as my breakfast/lunch.

It was a ton of food and only clocked in at 700 calories which is actually on the high end for me, as I only do 1500/day but I can probably wait til 6 or 7 to eat again.

Ha this is one of those things that doesn’t look all that appealing but you know tastes awesome.

Would gladly feast on this!

My food pic game is pretty high variance, I'll admit.

It was DDlicious.

Right. With your big, juicy cheddar brat -- which we never saw.

I'm still a bit pissed about that.

Tried cowboycold's version of biscuits and gravy with a layer of scrambled eggs over the biscuits.
My plating was a mess and not very photogenic, but goddamn I can't believe I've been missing out on this my whole life! Thanks cowboy, this will now be standard for my b&g breakfast

cs, perfectly fried bacon and sausage. It looks like an English muffin, which would be my preference over biscuits, and the eggs look spot on.

However, you suck at the gravy ratio.

Hahaha ok I have to admit that I only put a tiny bit of gravy on my plate so that the eggs would be visible in that pic.
After the pic I threw a few more scoops over everything... smothered the biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, plate, table, chair, everything!
Biscuits were cans of Pillsbury's finest. Have never attempted biscuits from scratch, but maybe next weekend.
Will def have to try with english muffins sometime.

edit - obviously no brunch is complete without
