What you pay for something doesn't change the facts.

No argument from me. Just pointing out that there is a reason his kitchen is so tiny.

His knife draw is probably more than my yearly rent

Yeah, I didn't know which way to parse your comment. That's insane. About 30 times what I paid for the house I live in now although I downsized significantly when I moved from DFW back to my hometown in BFE west Texas.

I'd watch a full video of him going thru that drawer and explaining the use(s) for each one and their approximate cost. Maybe he has already done one?

All of the talk up thread about sausage inspired my breakfast this morning.

Biscuits, eggs with sausage gravy. Been too long for sure.

That looks real damn good. Whats your solution for not having enough grease to make the gravy after frying sausage patties? I find that to be a common problem.

I applaud the gravy smother over everything and not just the biscuits

Use bacon grease? Have not tried it, seems like that or possibly butter would be options.

I guess I can understand that. Mrs. RG would agree with you. She cuts the center eye out of it, which is much leaner, and doesn't eat the fattier parts.

I just don't understand why you'd pay $2-4 extra for a prime-rib brunch if you're not going to eat it.

Hmm looks great. I’ve never put egg on sausage and gravy may need to try this.

Also do you make your own biscuits? I’m thinking about making my own, but really don’t do any baking. Can of Pillsbury is so easy.

My favorite at crappy breakfast buffets is loading up a plate with the pre-made scrambled eggs, bacon, potatos, a couple of biscuits and then drowning the whole thing with sausage gravy. So good and bad for you

Oh my. Done it SO many times. But I don't like biscuits, so I substitute white toast.

Nothing pisses me off more than a hotel "hot" breakfast that doesn't have sausage gravy. What's the freaking point?!

I prefer a strip to a ribeye, so I get that.

Prime rib is great for serving a group tho. Horseradish is awesome too.

Prime rib properly slathered in horse is a top joy of mine.

As someone already mentioned I add bacon grease. Keep a jar of it handy for just such an emergency. Like cooking fresh green beans for example.

My dad was a cook in the army and made the family breakfast most days. One of the life skills I learned from him was how to make a proper white gravy.

Mom's on the other hand usually came out with the consistency of glue and the flavor to match. Bless her heart.

These were canned. But when I do, I use the Better Homes and Gardens recipe. Another thing my dad had mastered and taught me. Miss that man.

White cream gravy may well be my favorite food group.

I prefer sawmill gravy to sausage gravy, but I would wade full throttle into those sausage, egg, biscuits & gravy you posted above!
