ya, walking a few miles is lol. but in the context of golf, it's a bit different(i'm thinking the pros etc). when i think about people like nicklaus, palmer watson etc...trying to imagine how much time they've spent marching around golf courses--with practice rounds etc...over 50yrs--everyday/every week...it's pretty mind boggling...also the stress of having to perform.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo (1994) is still played competitively in tournaments including EVO, the largest fighting game tournament series in the world.

Isnt NHL 93 for snes still super popular or something too?

but still, a video game still played by .00001% of the population obviously doesnt cut it as far as best game ever.

Well, if we're gonna start talking drinking games, I'm a bona fide master at @$$hole, and I defy anyone to impeach me from my presidential perch.

Boardgames better than monopoly (and generally better than poker or chess, IMHO, but I realize that arguement is a stretch when talking about longevity):

^^^ That certainly makes my point that Monopoly is the greatest!

I was just teasing. I can't make that embed either, but I'm not the most tech savvy person on here, lol.

Interesting video. The only part that he can't really address is the historical aspect that Monopoly brings to me. Each game calls to the past as much as it does to the present.

Although Settlers of Catan obviously doesn't have the history of monopoly or risk, I think it is superior for 2 key reasons.

1. The game ends in a reasonable amount of time.

2. The board changes every game, so the optimal strategy changes every game.

In my circle it is common for 2 couples to get together to play catan and it ends up being fun...

Civilization. I know someone who's still playing Civ II. Never interested in learning a newer version.

I don't think including longevity is especially reasonable. Is the Bible the best book? LOL no.

Also, fun imo.
Not true. Quite a few Korean women playing on the LPGA tour won millions.

I was cleaning out some junk at my parents' cottage recently and I found my old Hero Quest board game. Definitely taking that with me when I move tomorrow.

I played that game all the time as a kid. I looked on Ebay and the game sells for $75 - $150 (depending on the condition and whether it has all the pieces) but I'm gonna hang on to mine and hopefully find some friends who wanna play at some point.

There are events a lot more lucrative than the World Open.

Pretty sure I had this game when I was a kid too. Isnt it just sort of a dumbed down version of D&D?
