Long story short.

I made some posts in this thread,

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=109444

defending the fact that I am fat but don't give a ****. I've long said to friends that if someone prop bet me my opportunity cost from poker, I'd easily lose a lot of weight. This loudmouth, cocky, drunk at the time, coming off a big poker score, friend of mine, is rambling on about how I'm a fat waste of life, completely lazy, incapable of fixing my ways, etc. etc. It essentially becomes a dick-measuring contest. We hammered out infinite details, back and forth, and finally came out to 100k me getting laid 1.25 to 1, 100 pounds, 1 calendar year.

This bet probably ends in a buyout, but whatever.

As I'm writing this post,

"Fat people will always be fat, because there fat, will stay fat, and always be fat, and thats just the way they are, because they are fat."

This 100k is > 50% of his roll. 80k isn't as much to me obv, so he thinks that I might lose care for this bet if its not easy.

I didn't even want to post this on 2p2, but he insisted it as part of the bet, so w/e.

Weigh-in soon.

232.0 or less January 25 3pm and I get my 100 dimez pz

I know a great exercise routine to just melt fat off, in case you're interested. (Worked with my beer gut, err, old beer gut I should say - easiest 20 lbs I've ever lost) It's ridiculously easy and takes very little effort. All I ask for is 3% of your winnings in return. XD

stealth,

After first just skimming, I reread the post and am now bummed that it's apparently NOT a 100k bet on you getting laid.

this is like seriously the easiest 100k you ever made. count your calories and eat <2k cals/day. you don't even have to work out if you consistently cut 500 cals each day below your maintenance level.

Sign up for an Ironman Triathlon, Train accordingly. If you train for it, it won't matter as much what you eat. Ship the monies.

This can be done, good luck OP. Do you have to be 232.0 at the end of the year, or if at any point in the course if you drop to 232 do you automatically win?

haha of course it can be done.. there's like absolutely zero doubt of that. the whole bet boils down to the question: is OP disciplined enough to make it happen? or will his current habits eventually get the best of him.

I had to re-read as well. Not as interested in the thread anymore--had so much more potential, easy hundo now compared to the year long struggle to depants some insecure chick. meh.

I join this chorus that this would've been a vastly better weight loss prop-bet. You must lose enough weight to have consensual sex with an attractive woman with a 3rd party evaluating the woman's attractiveness. See if your friend is willing to change the bet to those terms.

Anyway, your friend is a moron unless you're really, really tall. $100k is a lot of money to anyone and losing 2 pounds a week at your weight is nothing.

Also, does anyone know any virgins or losers who are belligerent enough to make the "laid in a year" propbet?

stealth make sure you drink a lot of water before the weigh in.

if it comes down to the wire you can sweat out a ton of weight near the end.

I disagree. Two pounds a week is a deficit of 1000 calories/day. That's no small feat, believe me. Even for some one of his proportions. I think he is vastly underestimating the fight his body is going to put up.

Sure it seems easy enough considering he is probably averaging around 4000-5000 cal/day. Dip down to around 3000-3500 and it should be a walk in the park. But the body has a very sneaky way of maintaining it’s own weight and will slow down it’s metabolism as well as use all kinds of mental trickery and rationalizations that add up over the course of a week/month/etc..

He will also likely plateau a few times even if he does get it going, and that alone is usually discouraging enough to give up, or at the very least cut down the motivation significantly - which is the most important factor of success in anything.

And given the fact that a) he has already admitted to not caring about his health or physical appearance, and b) he already has a lot more money than he stands to gain, I think that there is already very little in the way of motivation. Not to mention the fact that he naturally leads an extremely sedentary lifestyle.

I really do wish you the best stealthmunk, but a year is a very long time, and losing weight is a lot more uncomfortable then I think you’re aware of. I think you should (and probably will) change the perimeters of this bet. Dids is the exception, and definitely not the norm. He really wanted to lose it, and he worked VERY hard. Good luck dude.
