The funniest thing about that case in the UK was that after the widespread media reporting on what happened to the trialists, the number of people volunteering actually went up. Mainly because the media where reporting how much money the pharmaceutical companies were paying test subjects for trials (something like £3000 or $6k I think). Lol? People are funny.
